What's New on the Farm
After 15 years, Buckhorn Run Farm is bringing our goat operation to an end.
We were very fortunate to start our breeding and show experiences with GREAT foundation genetics from Gay-Mor and Tx Twincreeks lines. Over the years, Buckhorn Run has produced many Elite, SGCH, GCH and BIS does and bucks, and our genetics can be found around the Delmarva area and beyond. We are proud of our customers successes in the show ring, milk production and LA scores. We have loved our goat farm, and are very appreciative of
our goat mentors, friends and fellow breeders and goat owners.
It's time for new adventures.

We took a long-overdue trip to the National Zoo in Washington DC to see our Buckhorn Run does. Nickie, the zookeeper, is doing a fantastic job caring for our girls and teaching them to do tricks on command. Fedora and Fiesta are 8-year old sisters, and their cousins are 1-year old sisters Wilma and Betty.

We took Mason and Poe to the 3-ring MDGA More Bang For Your Buck show today. We didn't win any ribbons, but we had a good time and our bucks looked good. Mason did place first in his class in one ring. Congratulations to CH Bloomfield Acres George who successfully challenged today's champions twice! (George is the sire of Mason, and the grandsire of Poe, and his dam-line is Buckhorn Run genetics)

Meet the newest barn staff; Purrel and Pounce; two young, feral kittens that we rescued thru BARCS. Both kittens are very shy and timid, but are adjusting to their new life on our farm. Our older cat, Dexter, is not impressed.
The National Zoo in Washington, DC is home to four of our Buckhorn Run goats; sisters Fedora and Fiesta (born in 2015), and sisters Betty and Wilma (born this past April). These special goats can be found enjoying life in the zoo's Kids' Farm Exhibit (bottom of the hill at the zoo). Stop by and visit them.
